Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani to Skip CMA Awards
The 2025 CMA Awards are set to air live on ABC on Wednesday, November 19. However, fans shouldn’t expect to see Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani in the audience, because they’re apparently skipping the Nashville ceremony this year.
“Blake and Gwen will be watching the CMAs on their TV this year,” a source told E! News of the couple’s plans for the night. Shelton won’t be kept in suspense, as it was already announced that he won the award for Musical Event of the Year alongside Post Malone for their song “Pour Me a Drink.”
Lainey Wilson is set to host this year’s ceremony, which will feature performances by such country stars as Kelsea Ballerini, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, and Luke Combs. The show will also be available to stream on Hulu the next day.

It was recently announced that Shelton and Stefani will be the headliners at the 2026 Endymion Extravaganza at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans in February. Additionally, Stefani recently released a new deluxe version of her album You Make It Feel Like Christmas.
The release features two new tracks, titled “Hot Cocoa” and “Shake the Snow Globe,” the latter of which is featured on the soundtrack for the upcoming Amazon original holiday movie Oh. What. Fun., starring Michelle Pfeiffer.
Meanwhile, Shelton is returning to Las Vegas in January to continue his residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Earlier this year, Shelton and Stefani released a collaboration called “Hangin’ On,” featured on Shelton’s album For Recreational Use Only.
