Dancing with the Stars Season 34 runner-up Alix Earle recently took to Instagram to share an emotional update with fans about her split from NFL player Braxton Berrios. The pair had been together for more than two years.
Alix Earle Shares the Reason for Braxton Berrios Split
Over the weekend, Alix Earle posted a candid video on Instagram in which she opened up about the reason for her split from boyfriend Braxton Berrios. The social media star began crying as she admitted that she’s been “scared to say something” because it “makes it more real.”
“Braxton and I are no longer together. We have been doing long distance since basically June, and we haven’t gotten to see each other that often,” Earle shared. “It was really difficult when I was out in LA, and I really liked it, and I thought that maybe I wanted to stay there.”
Earle said that was “a scary thing for me to realize, because it meant us not being in the same place,” adding, “A part of me just also really wants to be focusing on myself right now, and I just feel like I can’t be what Braxton needs.”
“I love Braxton. He’s my best friend,” Earle emphasized. “So it’s been really difficult as we’re trying to just go forward with this. It just kind of feels like we’re on two different paths right now, and it sucks.”

Earle Asks Fans Not to ‘Come For’ Berrios
Earle made sure to tell fans that she and Berrios are “on good terms,” adding, “I don’t want anyone to come for him or be mean to him, or to say it’s because he couldn’t make it to Dancing with the Stars. He couldn’t come because of football.”
Berrios plays football with the Houston Texans. According to People, he and Earle first met at a party in early 2023. In October, Earle posted a tribute to Berrios on Instagram for his 30th birthday.
Earle received an outpouring of love from her DWTS co-stars in the comments of her emotional new video. Fellow finalist Elaine Hendrix wrote, “I love you Alix.” Jordin Chiles wrote, “Love you girlie pop!!” Jen Affleck wrote, “Love you Alix.” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba also chimed in, writing, “Sending you so much love.”
