Television talent show fans have a lot coming for them this fall. America’s Got Talent, LEGO Masters, and Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars are currently all on air. Once these shows conclude Dancing With The Stars, The Voice, The Masked Singer, and Alter Ego will premiere in late September. Later in 2021 American Idol, and Clash Of The Cover Bands will premiere.
E!’s New Talent Show
Clash of The Cover Bands is a brand new E! talent show. It already has some big celebrities behind it. Idol veteran Adam Lambert will be judging alongside “All About That Bass” singer, Meghan Trainor, and Pitch Perfect star, Ester Dean. Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, host of the Ellen Degeneres show, will be the host for this upcoming competition.
This show will work as follows: two rounds of performances will take place per episode. This format gives two opportunities for each band to win over the judges and audience with their cover song. That being said, these groups will perform a cover of a popular song on stage. As of right now, we do not know how voting for this show works. There’s the possibility of this show taking the “America votes” format, but could also follow The Masked Singer style where the audience and judges decide together.
They concluded filming with a live audience on August 6. No official premiere date has been set but we can assume it’ll be later this fall, or closer to when American Idol is on air.
