American Idol Season 20 Premieres in February
The newest season of American Idol will premiere on February 27, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. This series will also be available to stream on Hulu. The celebrity judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan will be returning to the judging panel in the new year. This is not only the show’s twentieth season, but it’s also been 20 years since the show first premiered on FOX.
Production on the latest season began earlier this year. Even though initial auditions were virtual, filming took place in person in Austin, Texas. As of right now, it looks like the judges’ auditions will still occur in-person since behind-the-scenes photos of the set have shows the judges at the classic table.
American Idol‘s most recent winner, Chayce Beckham has gone on to have a successful career. His fan base from the series has remained loyal after the show. It was obvious he was an up and coming name on the show, but it’s even more obvious now. He recently released the single “Can’t Do Without Me” with country pop singer Lindsay Ell. Since the release date the official audio video has received 48,489 views.
