Laine Hardy Spreads the Christmas Spirit with New Cover

“During my childhood we always got together as a family and opened presents and took pictures. You’ll see baby pictures of me and some old goofy pictures of me. Going through them really brought back a lot of memories,” Laine said in an interview.

After another long year of the Covid-19 pandemic, “Please Come Home For Christmas” holds a special meaning to those who are still missing their loved ones who they have yet to see. In the song, Laine sings:

“Friends and relations send salutations/ Sure as the stars shine above/ But this is Christmas yes Christmas my dear /The time of year to be with the ones you love.”

His soulful cover pulls at the heart strings of those who can relate to wanting to celebrate the holidays with loved ones rather than being somber this holiday season.
