America’s Got Talent Season 5 runner-up Jackie Evancho is back with new music. The singer recently debuted an original song on her TikTok called “Get Out of My Life.” Evancho admitted that the track is “not finished,” but she wanted fans to hear it.
Jackie Evancho Debuts New Song on TikTok
Evancho posted audio of the full song on her TikTok account this week, along with the lyrics written in white against a black background. The singer wrote in the caption that this new track is “just the beginning.”
“It’s not perfect, it’s not finished, but I wanted you to hear it,” Evancho wrote, including several hashtags such as #MentalHealth, #PerfectlyImperfect, and #Selfcare.
In the song’s lyrics, Evancho sings to someone who’s constantly criticizing her, telling them to “shut up and get out of my life.” She sings that they were “killing me slowly,” and now she’s “trying out self love instead.”
In a recent Instagram video, Evancho opened up with fans about the pressure she has felt to be perfect. During that video, the singer teased “Get Out of My Life.” She shared that it was recorded late at night in a hotel room on GarageBand with a headphone microphone.

Fans Are Loving Evancho’s New Song
Evancho’s fans made sure to tell the singer how much they enjoyed her new release. One TikTok user wrote that the song has a “strong message,” while another wrote that they “hope there is an album in the making.”
In an interview with Talent Recap last year, Evancho shared that she had “been doing a lot of songwriting.” That, combined with the fact that she called this new song “just the beginning,” has us hopeful that we’ll hear more soon.
It’s especially exciting to hear original music from Evancho, since she’s been releasing mostly covers in recent years. Last year, she debuted a Joni Mitchell cover album called Carousel of Time.
