A Dalmatian Football Player? ‘The Masked Singer’ Reveals First Character of Season 6
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The time has come for the first reveal for the upcoming season of The Masked Singer. On August 6, the show shared its first costume from the highly anticipated season. The Dalmatian wearing football gear could totally be a star athlete joining the show, or it could be a trick to throw us off. Either way, we’re totally freaking out.
The show is going to have a two night premiere to kick off their sixth season on September 22 and 23. With a premiere date right around the corner, it’s no surprise that they would start showing hints as to what the masks for this season will look like. I expected some subtle hints towards the new masks, but this hint wasn’t so subtle.
The video is of a Dalmatian character holding a football helmet on his hip. The video is very flashy with fast-paced music in the background. It’s very possible that this reveal will be an athlete, but anything can happen on The Masked Singer, as we know.
“This is not a drill! 🚨 Meet the first mask of Season 6 — #DalmatianMask. #TheMaskedSinger,” The Masked Singer shared on Instagram.
Superfans of The Masked Singer were quick to run to the comment section of this post as soon as it was up. Many of them shared excitement about who the new mask could be.
“Im getting Nfl player vibes 👀” wrote one fan.
A lot of comments say that they had the same initial thought, but only time will tell who is behind this mask.
Although this hint is HUGE, it’s not the first hint we’ve had about this upcoming season
In the teaser trailer for Season 6, fans saw a banana split, magician cards, and a mallard. Fans automatically took these tiny details as hints since the trailer hit the internet. Ever since this video hit the internet fans have gone CRAZY trying to figure out what these new masks could look like.
We have also received confirmation that the crowd favorite panel will be returning to the show. Nick Cannon will also return to host the season alongside the celebrity panel of Ken Jeong, Jenny Mccarthy, Robin Thicke, and Nicole Scherzinger. The show was filmed with both live and virtual audiences despite ongoing covid concerns.
