Todrick Hall Finally Opens Up About ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Backlash

Todrick Hall’s Celebrity Big Brother season was hard on the singer. Before he kicked-off his seventh world tour this past weekend, the singer finally addressed his time on the show. Fans will remember Hall made headlines when cameras caught many unpleasant moments of him in the Big Brother house. Hall faced heavy criticism for his performance and treatment towards his other houseguests.
“This has been the hardest month and 1/2 of my life,” Hall posted on Instagram. “I haven’t avoided the press because I’m afraid to comment on my experience on big brother, but more to protect myself and my mental health to make sure I could actually get my show on stage and fulfill my obligations to my fans and my PAID employees.”
There were reports that after Hall lost Season 3 of Celebrity Big Brother he canceled all press. Fans assumed Hall was bitter for losing the show. He was vocal about his love for the competition show. During the finale Hall lost the vote seven to one. After the show viewers knew Hall would be shocked when he learned how much criticism he faced.
“I have no desire to prove myself to people who were never rooting for me to begin with,” Hall wrote in his post. “But I do want to say to my fans that I will be commenting on my experience once the show is open, because I feel you deserve it. Thanks to everyone who watched and supported me in the bb house. It was the most difficult thing I’ve ever done, but I’m glad I did it.”
On the show, Hall criticized houseguest Chris Kirkpatrick’s parenting skills and body shaming Shanna Moakler. He was also unapologetic about his wealth, which at a time of so many jobs being lost came off as insensitive.

“I am a human being, a real one…I’m not always nice, not always kind nor have I ever claimed to be,” Hall said addressing viewers who noticed how mean he was on the show. “I’m very flawed, I’m a work in progress, but that’s the beauty of being human. I have made a ton of mistakes in my life and I will continue to make mistakes, some publicly and some privately.”
Celebrity Big Brother puts celebrities in a house with cameras and watches them 24/7 as they compete for the $250,000 grand prize. Hall was often caught on the show’s live feeds in moments that put him in a bad light. His dedication to many of the houseguests came under fire when he would then go on to betray them. Most fans did not mind how he played his game. They commented on how personal he made the game feel.
“I will address things in my own way and in my own time, until then thanks for the love, the kind words, the direct messages, it really meant so much to me,” Hall said before finishing his lengthy post.
The Masked Singer alum felt the need to say something before he embarked on his Femuline Tour. Hall’s tour will continue throughout spring and end in early summer.
