Reading Time: 3 minutes
The Voice is already gearing up for another season, and it’s obviously going to be a thrilling one next year. With two new kids in the block, fans will see how the pro coaches will unleash their competitive spirit to prove that they’re the ultimate ones to beat.
The Voice Releases Season 23 Promotional Video
Soon after Bryce Leatherwood’s season 22 victory, The Voice released its brand-new promo video for season 23. Interestingly, this not only marks Blake Shelton’s last season, but also Kelly Clarkson’s returning year. Furthermore, it’s Chance The Rapper and Niall Horan’s first attempt to win as rookie coaches in the reality series.
“Do you think I’ve got a chance of beating you in your final season?” Horan asked Shelton.
In his usual cocky tone, the country star quickly answered “No.”
In the promo, Horan was brushing some stage make-up on Shelton’s cheeks, hilariously pissing him off. The video then transitioned to another newbie coach Chance The Rapper who was asking Clarkson if there’s any chance he could beat her.
“I think my biggest competition is probably Kelly,” Chance said. “But I’mma still win, though.”
When Clarkson asked Shelton about the new coaches, the latter doesn’t really care much. He even pretended to not know them.
The 30-second teaser ends with Horan calling Shelton “my dad” and branding himself as the new kid in town. Clarkson also shared her thoughts, presuming that the The Voice season 23 will be “the vets versus the newbies.”
Fans Can’t Wait to Watch the Show
As soon as they watched the promotional video, fans took their excitement to social media. Seemingly, The Voice is gaining new viewers because of Horan, who was a former member of best-selling boy band One Direction.
“Nialler looks so happy and so very little beside Blake. I will watch this season just for Niall,” one user wrote.
Meanwhile, old-time fans are happy that Clarkson is coming back next year. Most of them would want to witness her sibling dynamic with Shelton. On the other hand, fans think that Chance will make a good coach, noticing his calm yet confident attitude.
“These 4 already seem like so much fun!!!! I feel like Chance is such a dark horse… I feel like he’s gonna be a really good coach,” one person wrote. “Blake and Kelly’s energy is to die for, and Niall seems so appreciative to be there.”
If Shelton snatches another trophy this season, he will have 10 wins under his belt before he leaves the show. In addition, Clarkson will be eyeing for her 5th win next year, one that will follow Girl Named Tom’s success in the show.
The Voice season 23 will premiere on March 6 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
