Who Will Win On Tonight’s 1st ‘America’s Got Talent’ Semifinals?
NBC Tonight is the night, folks. Seven acts will perform this evening at 8pm on the America’s Got Talent stage in the first semifinals show to see who will move on to the finals. There is quite a slate of talent competing on the stage and it all comes down to how well they do tonight. I’m sure they are a giant ball of nerves back in their LA hotels.

The acts scheduled to perform tonight are Sara Carson and Hero, Evie Clair, Billy and Emily England, Eric Jones, Preacher Lawson, Johnny Manuel, Darci Lynne Farmer, and Yoli Mayor. Many among the staff here at Talent Recap think the winner not only tonight but of the whole shebang will be Darci Lynne Farmer. Again, maybe I’m just prejudiced because I’m a sucker for singing puppets. I grew up on The Muppets, after all. But I think she’s really got something. She would be in the running just with her outstanding voice but that she can sing like that while operating a puppet with her mouth closed is outrageous.
But it is tough. Yoli Mayor definitely has some serious chops and we (and Simon) love us some Sara Carson and Hero. Johnny Manuel is no slouch either. It will all come down ultimately to their performance tonight. If something goes wrong or nerves get the better of them, then they will be going home. We are psyched to see what happens.
