This ‘American Idol’ Alum Will Appear On ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’
The Kelly Clarkson Show is still going strong. The Voice coach and original American Idol winner is proving herself to be a great talk show host, and she’s also had some pretty great guests.
So far, Kelly has welcomed guests like John Legend, American Idol pal Justin Guarini, and the cast of AGT. This week, she’ll be talking to another American Idol alum with an important message to share. Read on to find out more.
‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ Going Strong
When Kelly’s show launched in September, it reportedly had the highest-rated debut of a syndicated show in seven years, with a 1.6 rating. For its third week, the show fell 14 percent, to a 1.2 rating. That’s still good, with BroadcastingCable.com calling the show “NBCUniversal’s rookie leader.”
One thing that sets Kelly’s show apart from other talk shows (in addition to her lovable personality) is the inclusion of musical performances from the host. Kelly has a segment called “Kellyoke” in which she performs covers of songs. Check out her recent Dua Lipa cover above.
Who Is ‘American Idol’ Alum Casey McQuillen?
Casey McQuillen competed on Season 13 of American Idol. According to a press release, this Thursday, she’ll be appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show to promote her anti-bullying YOU MATTER Tour, in which she visits schools to perform songs she wrote when she was younger and talk to kids about bullying.
Casey recently released a single called “Hold Me,” and is touring with The Voice of Germany winner Nick Howard. For National Bullying Prevention Month, the singer is taking YMT (which was endorsed by the UN) on the road in the US and Europe.
It’s great to see Kelly Clarkson supporting a fellow Idol alum on her show, especially when it comes with such an important message.
