American Idol‘s Showstoppers round recently ended with a twist, as the judges revealed that they would be sending the Top 26 to the next round instead of the Top 24. However, if you were keeping count, you might have noticed that only 25 singers were revealed to be going through. The 26th contestant has since been identified.

Who Is the Unseen Singer in American Idol‘s Top 26?

When the judges were done narrowing down the competition, the Top 26 got together to celebrate and learn that they would be going to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii for the next round. It was during this group celebration that the mysterious 26th singer could be seen.

Mjsbigblog spotted Beckett Rex toward the back of the group. If that name doesn’t sound familiar, it’s probably because he hasn’t been featured at all during this season, likely because he dropped out of the competition.

Beckett is a 19-year-old singer from California whose father is famous British actor Malcolm McDowell. Since 2021, he has released three singles under the name Beckett. The most recent single, released in February, is called “Wildfire.”

Who Will Replace Beckett in the Next Round?

Assuming Beckett dropped out of the competition, the show would have to replace him with another singer to bring the number back up to 26. Based on photos and clips released from the next round, it looks like the show is bringing back an eliminated singer.

Fans who were disappointed that Paige Anne was eliminated during the Showstoppers round will be happy to learn that not only was she featured in a promo for the Hawaii round, but the show has also released official photos of her from next week’s show.

Paige will apparently be performing during the second part of the Hawaii round, airing Monday night on ABC. The first part of the Hawaii episodes will air on Sunday night. This round will feature celebrity mentors Noah Cyrus and Allen Stone.
