‘The Masked Singer’ Panel Saves Goo from Elimination in the Group B Finals
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Masked Singer Season 12 returned on Wednesday night for ’60s Night, which also happened to be the Group B Finals. At the end of the episode, Bluebell was eliminated and unmasked, while the panel hit the “Ding Dong, Keep it On” Bell to save Goo, sending them to the Quarterfinals with Wasp.
The Masked Singer Panel Saves Goo from Elimination
During Wednesday’s show, the remaining members of Group B performed hits from the 1960s. For Goo, that song was “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals. The panel was impressed by their soulful performance, guessing that Goo might be Leon Bridges, Brian McKnight, or Anthony Hamilton.
At the end of the episode, Goo performed in a Battle Royale against Wasp, who also wowed the panel with their performance of “Ain’t No Way” by Aretha Franklin. The panel guessed that Wasp might be Mario, Eric Benét, or Jason Derulo.
For the Battle Royale, both Goo and Wasp performed their own versions of “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye. The panel had a tough choice to make about who should move on to the Season 12 Quarterfinals. Ultimately, they chose Wasp.
However, it wasn’t the end of the road for Goo. Just as they were about to take their mask off and reveal their identity, panelist Jenny McCarthy hit the “Ding Dong, Keep It On” bell to save them from elimination and send them to the Quarterfinals as well. This means the panel won’t be able to hit the bell again for anyone in the next group of contestants.

Bluebell Unmasked as Natalie Imbruglia
Although Goo was saved from elimination, Wednesday night’s show did feature one unmasking. Bluebell received the least amount of votes for her solo performance, in which she sang “Do You Love Me” by The Contours. That meant she had to be unmasked.
During the show, Bluebell revealed that she’s from Australia. This prompted the panel to guess that she might be Kylie Minogue, Naomi Watts, Isla Fisher, or Rose Byrne. None of them were correct, as Bluebell turned out to be singer Natalie Imbruglia.
This isn’t Imbruglia’s first time on The Masked Singer. She actually won the UK version of the show as Panda in 2022. Imbruglia admitted that she was putting on an American accent to fool the panel, and it apparently worked.
Goo and Wasp will now head to the Quarterfinals to compete against Buffalos. However, there’s still another group of contestants to meet. Next Wednesday night will mark the Group C premiere on FOX.
