Terry Crews spoke to Kelly Clarkson with this year’s America’s Got Talent judge lineup. The host of the hit talent show spoke on why he chose Voices of Our City choir as his Golden Buzzer.

“First of all, the fact that y’know, here we had a homeless choir, came up from San Diego. They wrote their own music, they did their own things, it moved me beyond belief,” he told Clarkson.
“I was in tears and I knew as soon as I saw them, that I had to give them… I just rushed the stage because the opportunity that each one of these men and women took was a risk. They’ve been cast away, they’ve been marginalized for so long and to get the confidence to get up there and try something like this, I had to reward them.”
The choir is made up of former rough sleepers on the streets of California. The ensemble received Crews’ Golden Buzzer after performing an original song named ‘Sounds Of The Sidewalk’.

Cristina Rae – Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzer
Cristina Ray‘s voice blew away the judges when she auditioned for America’s Got Talent this year. The mother of one told a heartbreaking story, detailing her struggles with bringing up a child whilst homeless.
