‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Renewed for Season 18, ‘All Stars’ for Season 11

In exciting news for fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race, it was announced this week that the show has offically been renewed for Season 18 on MTV. Additionally, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars has been renewed for Season 11 on Paramount+.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Renewed for Season 18
Deadline reports that RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars will both be back for another season, on MTV and Paramount+, respectively. Companion series RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked have also been renewed.
“We are so grateful to our fans for all the love and support you’ve shown to our show and to our beautiful and talented queens. Thank you,” RuPaul said in an Instagram video announcing the renewals.
According to Deadline, Season 17 of Drag Race had the show’s highest-rated premiere episode in years. The season had an average 0.54 rating among adults 18-34, and 0.5 among adults 18-49. The competition was won by Onya Nurve.
Season 10 of All Stars was won by Season 7 alum Ginger Minj. The show previously aired on Logo TV and VH1 before moving to Paramount+ in Season 6. As for the traditional Drag Race, this will mark its fourth season on MTV.

The Show Is Nominated at the Emmys This Year
The Drag Race franchise is nominated for a number of Emmys this year, including Outstanding Reality Competition Program. RuPaul is also nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program at the Creative Arts Emmys.
Also at the Creative Arts Emmys, Untucked is nominated for Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program. Drag Race is also nominated for Outstanding Casting and Directing for a Reality Program, as well as for lighting, makeup, editing, and production design.
The Primetime Creative Arts Emmys will be presented on September 6 and 7. The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards will air on CBS and Paramount+ on September 14.
