Dancing With The Stars mirrorball champion Rumer Willis recently opened up about her realizations amid her first pregnancy. According to the mom-to-be, the journey has been challenging, yet she’s excited.
Rumer Willis Shares Her Realizations Amid Pregnancy
Ahead of Mother’s Day, Willis took the time to share how her pregnancy has been going so far. The actress claimed that she now has “so much reverence and respect for women,” admitting that childbearing is a “humbling” experience.
“Also, because I’m so excited, even those moments that are challenging, or feel frustrating, I’m just so excited, that always kind of trumps [everything],” she said. “But, it’s wild. It’s the wildest experience, even more so than I ever thought of.”
The DWTS alum then mentioned that she’ll miss the “whole disco” going on in her tummy past 8:00 p.m. She then praised her boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, who she celebrates for being an “angel” along the pregnancy process.
“He’s been so lovely, and he’s just so excited to be a dad, and we’re both just so delighted to meet whoever this little person is,” she shares. “I could not have asked for a better partner, and he’s going to be such a great dad.”
As regards the sex of their baby, the House Bunny actress said that it’s going to be a surprise.
She Wishes that Her Baby Will Inherit Her Parents’ “Goofiness”
Willis is also wondering what her baby could get from the genes of her parents, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Getting candid, the DWTS winner said it would be amazing if her baby will inherit their grandparents’ “goofiness.”
“We’re a family of weirdos, and I love that so much. I really hope that that is engendered in this child,” she said. “That’s my favorite thing, laughing with my family.”
The actress went on to state that she’s grateful for her family support amid her pregnancy. With her parents giving her words of wisdom, there’s one thing she considers as the best piece of advice.
“You have no control over anything, and just have a lot of grace with yourself,” she said.
