Rob Riggle to Guest Judge on ‘The Masked Singer’ Feisty Five Episode
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Just when we thought Season 5 of The Masked Singer couldn’t get any better, actor Rob Riggle will be joining the judging panel. We already have one comedic genius, Ken Jeong, on the panel. Riggle will certainly add even more laughs to the show.
Rob Riggle Joins ‘The Masked Singer’ as a Guest Judge
In the trailer for the upcoming episode, Riggle gives one contestant a standing ovation. The Saturday Night Live alum has a ton of movie and television experience. We would not be surprised if he has actually worked with or met all of the celebrities underneath the masks.
“It’s the weirdest show I’ve ever seen and it did not disappoint,” he said.
The Russian Dolls will be performing Elton John’s “I’m Still Standing” and the stage will be covered in the Union Jack flag. Three of The Russian Dolls are seen wearing glittery glasses and feathered boas during this sneak peak performance in the trailer. Their looks are complete with silver-platformed heels and one them will even be playing the piano.
“You got me goosebumps all over my body,” Jenny McCarthy tells one contestant in the trailer.
It is also teased that there will be “a shocking and unexpected reveal that leads to the semi-finals.” After last week’s surprising elimination of The Robopine, it is clear that anything can happen. Tyrese Gibson was unmasked even though we were sure he would make it to the finale as The Robopine.
The five acts remaining in the competition are The Russian Dolls, The Black Swan, The Piglet, The Yeti and The Chameleon.
Two Other Guest Judges Will join the Remaining Episodes
There is one fishy thing that we noticed in this trailer. The judges are all wearing the same clothes that they wore back in the fifth episode. This was the episode that Nick Cannon was revealed to be The Bulldog. Niecy Nash served as the guest host while Cannon was out recovering from COVID-19.
One explanation for this is that the episodes were filmed out of order. The first half of the day was probably spent filming episode five and the second half of the day probably welcomed Cannon back to film episode 11. Despite all of the mystery surrounding the judge’s wardrobe, there will be two more superstar guest judges this season.
On May 19, Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker will be joining the judging panel as a guest judge. The Cluedle-Doo, this season’s mysterious masked character will also be revealed during this episode.
LeAnn Rimes who won the fourth season of The Masked Singer as The Sun will be a guest judge on the show during the finale.
