Singer Ray Singleton has officially announced that he did not make it into the Top 36 on America’s Got Talent. It is absolutely devastating news to hear after he moved the entire world with his audition. Thankfully, there is a silver lining in all of this. Ray has some new music coming our way in less than a month.

Ray Singleton Has Sadly Not Been Selected for the ‘AGT’ Top 36

The viral internet star and his wife, Roslyn, shared their story during his Season 16 audition. Roslyn is a two-time brain cancer survivor. Ray has stood by her side every step of the way. He dedicated his touching rendition of “I Am Yours” by Andy Grammer to her.

Judge Cuts didn’t happen this season, but we had high hopes that Ray was one of the frontrunners heading into the live shows. It is a major shock that he will not be performing at the Dolby Theatre this season. He revealed the news in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“So, a lot of you all have been asking when is the next time you’ll see me again, the good news is you’ll be seeing a lot of me very soon…the not so good news is that unfortunately it won’t be on the AGT Stage,” he wrote. “A few weeks ago, we got the call that for whatever reason I would not be moving forward to the live shows…I know that God is still behind all of this and the very best is yet to come.”

Ray thanked everyone all over the world who has sent him messages and held their own watch parties to view his audition. His audition has over 1.6 million views on YouTube. The comments section is full of love from people that know Ray personally, and those who have been impacted by his audition from all over the world.

Ray Has New Music Coming Out in September

Ray will be dropping his first single off of his new album on September 1. The song is called “Forever.” He also announced that he will be performing in Charlotte, North Carolina at 1501 South Mint this Friday. You can check out Ray’s full schedule of appearances and performances on his official website.

The singer also revealed that he was initially approached to audition last year but the COVID-19 pandemic made that impossible. The fact that he got the opportunity again this year was the right move on part of AGT. So many lives have been touched by Ray’s story and AGT is only the beginning.

“You won 1000 times over my love!!!” Roslyn wrote on Ray’s post. “This is small stage compared to what GOD is about to do for YOU!!! Great Things.”
