As the excitement builds for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, fans are eager to see the return of their favorite professional dancers. Season 32 promises to be a remarkable one, with significant changes and surprises in store for viewers. With the show simulcasting on ABC and Disney+, and a premiere expected in the fall of 2023, anticipation is mounting. Let’s take a closer look at the professional dancers we hope to see back on the dance floor this season.
Who Will be Returning to DWTS Season 32?
At this time, the official Dancing With The Stars professional dancer roster has yet to be confirmed. Typically, fans will see this announcement around the same time as the celebrity cast announcement. While pairings are often kept under wraps until the Good Morning America announcement, there have been some hints and confirmations from a few dancers.
Val Chmerkovskiy, one of the show’s beloved pros, confirmed in May that he would be returning for Season 32. Chmerkovskiy believes that his wife, Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy, who recently welcomed their first child, and his sister-in-law, Peta Murgatroyd, who is expecting her second child, will also make a comeback. Sharna Burgess, who took a break in Season 31 after becoming a mother, expressed her desire to return to DWTS. Sharna, a former champion, last competed in Season 30.
This spring, the DWTS family saw a baby boom among the pro dancers. Lindsay Arnold, who sat out Season 31 due to the birth of her second child, is expected to return. Witney Carson, who announced her pregnancy during the Season 31 semifinal, has also given birth and may be ready to grace the dance floor once again. Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov, who shared their pregnancy news shortly after the Season 31 finale, recently became first-time parents with the birth of their daughter, and could potentially join the cast.
Unfortunately, two fan-favorite pros, Cheryl Burke and reigning champion Mark Ballas, have retired after Season 31. Their absence will be deeply felt, but new talent will surely bring fresh energy to the show.
Other Cast Members Also Changed
In terms of hosting, Tyra Banks, who took over from Tom Bergeron, will not be returning for Season 32. Banks has decided to focus on her businesses, making way for the return of former pro and judge Julianne Hough. Joining Hough as co-host will be Alfonso Ribeiro, who won the hearts of fans during his winning season on DWTS.
The judging panel will see some familiar faces. Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli have all been confirmed to return. With Len Goodman’s retirement after Season 31 and subsequent passing, the show will likely return to a three-person panel. This adjustment will also allow for more flexibility in inviting guest judges to join the panel throughout the season.
As DWTS Season 32 approaches, fans eagerly await the return of their favorite professional dancers. With exciting changes in hosting and a talented lineup of judges, the show promises to deliver an unforgettable season of incredible performances and captivating moments.
What about Britt, Kateryna, Ezra, Alan, Alexis, Brandon?
Glad that Tyra is gone. It was never about dancing when she hosted it was about HER UGLY UGLY UGLY outfits. Glad that Julianne is going to be host. She will definitely make a BIG difference. I am sorry for Len’s passing but also glad he is gone. I never really like him and he was CRUEL most of the time.
