Canada’s Got Talent has released a sneak peek ahead of Tuesday night’s Season 2 premiere, featuring opera singer Paola Troilo. The singer wowed the judges and audience with her beautiful voice after sharing the unusual story of how she started singing.
Opera Singer Auditions for Canada’s Got Talent Season 2
Paola introduced herself to the judges by sharing that her job involves importing food from Italy. After chatting with judge Howie Mandel about truffles, she called Canada’s Got Talent her “big opportunity” and shared that her son signed her up to audition for the show.
When Mandel asked her how long she’s been singing, Paola answered, “I don’t know. I didn’t know I was singing … I always make noise, and I was alone in my room … I thought I was making noise and I was disturbing.”
Paola went on to deliver a gorgeous opera performance, showing off a stunning voice that was definitely not noisy or disturbing. Her family watched proudly from the audience as she sang, and the judges were clearly impressed by her talent. Trish Stratus even appeared to have tears in her eyes.

The New Season Premieres Tuesday Night
The new season of Canada’s Got Talent is set to premiere on Tuesday, March 21, at 8/7c on Citytv. The show has been teasing the new competition for quite some time now, and it’s finally time to see the auditions for ourselves.
Last year’s panel of judges (Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, and Kardinal Offishall) has returned for the new season, along with host Lindsay Ell. Auditions started filming all the way back in October at Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls.
Which new act will follow last year’s winner Jeanick Fournier and earn the most votes at the end of the season? We can’t wait to find out.
