Everyone’s favorite celebrity father has decided to lay off having more kids. This might come as a huge surprise since Nick Cannon recently was in the news for having his seventh child. But, it doesn’t come as a surprise that after large criticism he’s brought the topic to his therapist.

Cannon made it pretty obvious that the children he has were on purpose since there were more people he “could’ve gotten pregnant.” Although he is not against having a bigger family, he is not trying for any more children as of right now.

“The Lord has blessed me with what I asked, but ask and you shall receive,” Cannon continued. “I’m not sitting out here planning it. My therapist says I should be celibate.”

He shared that he is from a large loving family so he wants to create on similar to his own. Even though having multiple kids with multiple women isn’t exactly like his family, he doesn’t necessarily believe in monogamy. Cannon is creating a family like his own, but is currently on pause from family expansion.

Cannon’s not sure if he agrees with celibacy, but he definitely is ready to take a break. On top of his seven children, he’s extremely busy with his career. He is currently the host of The Masked Singer, Wild N Out, and his new talk show, The Nick Cannon Show.

Even with his busy schedule, this 40 year-old manages to find his time to spend with his children.

“They get my full attention when I’m not working,” said Cannon. “And that’s the beauty of it because it kind of keeps me out of trouble. It’s either work or playing with my kids.”

With more on his plate careerwise, it’s possible he is on pause from having children because it’s getting tougher to juggle the balance. I mean, this guy seriously has a lot going on. It would make sense for him to want to spend as much time as he can with the children he already has, before having more.

The Nick Cannon Show hits Daytime Television on September 27

Cannon hopes to be completely transparent to the world with his new talk show premiering Monday. Although he’s not one to shy away from telling the harsh truth in the media, he hopes to show his true self to his fans in this show. After the influx of recent headlines featuring Cannon’s name, he’s hoping to use the talk show as a way to shut down the rumors.

“I want to be transparent. Never been a person that’s shied away from talking about my life,” Cannon said. “But I want to refocus it on others. I’m gonna be talking for an hour each and every day, hopefully people get to know me in a very intimate way. If I’m in the headlines the night before, I’m definitely talking about it the next morning.”

His brand new talk show premieres on September 27 on live television. Although the show is airing live, the network itself is dependent on your local stations. His first guest star will be Kevin Hart and they will continue their summer prank wars on live tv.
