The Masked Singer Judge Raises Awareness About AAPI Discrimination
See Us Unite for Change is part of the broader advocacy campaign, See Us Unite. The campaign seeks to amplify voices and encourage education about the Asian American experience.
The purpose of the telecast is to educate viewers about the AAPI community’s impact and inspire them to support efforts against discrimination.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic began last year, there has been a wave of racially-motivated violence. The AAPI Heritage Month Celebration comes following the surge in shootings and micro-aggressions against the AAPI community.
The special event will feature a diverse collection of music, comedic performances, short film packages and guest speakers.
See Us Unite For Change will air Friday, May 21 at 8 p.m. EDT on MTV Entertainment affiliated networks.
