Britain’s Got Talent returned on Saturday night with another episode of Series 19. Auditions continued, as judge KSI pressed the Golden Buzzer for a 16-year-old musical magician named Rafferty Coope.

KSI Presses BGT Golden Buzzer for Rafferty Coope

Rafferty Coope’s unique BGT audition combined music and magic. He started his performance by playing a harmonica, before turning the instrument into a bar of chocolate. Rafferty then got help from Simon Cowell to make an AirPod travel through glass.

He didn’t stop there, going on to levitate his phone off the judges’ table. After that, Rafferty took out an egg shaker and had Alesha Dixon shake it. Then he made it so there was no longer any sound coming out of the instrument. He then revealed that it had transformed into a real egg.

Rafferty went on to do a card trick with KSI. He used the judge’s chosen playing cards as inspiration for a melody on the piano. It turned out to be the start of “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. Rafferty continued playing the song as the audience sang along. He then revealed that the backs of KSI’s chosen cards spelled the word “believe.”

The audience chanted for the judges to press the Golden Buzzer, and KSI did just that. He actually stood on the judges’ table and hit the Buzzer with his foot to do the honors. Rafferty was overjoyed as the confetti rained down.

What Other Acts Impressed the Judges?

Rafferty Coope wasn’t the only act to impress the judges during Saturday’s new episode of BGT. During the show, 17-year-old Niamh Noade performed a cover of “Ordinary” by Alex Warren while playing the harp. She earned a standing ovation, with KSI calling her talent “angelic.”

Another impressive act during this week’s show came from Sonny Green, who performed “a poem about what England means to me.” The performance made Alesha Dixon emotional, as she said she “felt every single word of that.” The judges agreed to send Sonny through to the next round.

Saturday’s episode also featured a boy band called SOS, who performed a pop-punk cover of “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by The Backstreet Boys. They had the audience on their feet and dancing along. Judges KSI and Amanda Holden were especially into it. All four judges voted “yes” to sending SOS forward.
