Val Chmerkovskiy for the 'Dancing With The Stars' Semi Finals

Val Chmerkovskiy and several other pros are missing dates on the current Dancing with the Stars tour, according to recent announcements. Chmerkovskiy’s absence is for health reasons, while four other pros will be missing several dates due to other projects.

Val Chmerkovskiy Sits Out Part of DWTS Tour

On Sunday, Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram to share a video from Peoria, Illinois. The dancer had to miss Sunday’s tour stop in the city as he had been dealing with vertigo “for the past couple of days.” The previous day, Chmerkovskiy said he was “able to get through the show.”

He added that he’s been “spinning everywhere,” explaining, “On the bus when it’s moving, I woke up and I just couldn’t get myself together.” He shared that Monday is a day off, and he would hopefully be back to performing on Tuesday, when the tour stops in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In the comments of his post, Chmerkovskiy received support and well wishes from his DWTS family, as well as fans. His wife and fellow pro Jenna Johnson commented with a crying emoji and a bandaged heart emoji. Season 34 contestant Dylan Efron wrote that he dealt with vertigo before competing on the show, calling it “awful.”

Other Pros Will Miss Upcoming Dates

Chmerkovskiy isn’t the only DWTS pro missing dates on the current tour. Brandon Armstrong, Britt Stewart, Jenna Johnson, and Daniella Karagach recently shared a video telling fans that they will have to miss various shows in March “to be part of an upcoming project.”

Armstrong will miss shows from March 3 to March 10, Stewart will miss shows from March 6 to March 13, Johnson will miss shows from March 11 to March 17, and Karagach will miss shows from March 14 to March 20.

Pro Rylee Arnold will be filling in during shows on the tour from March 6 to March 20. Arnold shared a video saying she’s “so excited” to join the tour. She apparently learned 14 new dances in just two days.
