'American Idol' 2026 Hollywood Week

American Idol Season 24 returned on Monday night for the second episode of Hollywood Week, which took place in Nashville for the first time in the show’s history. The competition was officially narrowed down to the Top 30 during this week’s episode — which featured not one but two sing-offs.

Who Made It Into the American Idol Top 30?

During Monday’s show, even more contestants who made it through the audition round took the stage to perform for the American Idol judges. Some of them went home, while 60 others advanced to the “Golden Room.” The judges then cut this group in half to decide the Top 30 contestants.

The first 28 contestants in the Top 30 were announced by the judges in groups. They include Abayomi, Bella Emry, Braden Ramfelt, Brenna Brigman, Brianna Yancey, Brooks, Bryant Thomas, Chris Tungseth, Daniel Stallworth, Genevieve Heyward, Hannah Harper, Jacquie Lee, Jake Thistle, Jesse Findling, Jordan McCullough, Julián Kalel, Kiera Howell, Kutter Bradley, Keyla Richardson, Kyndal Inskeep, Lucas Leon, Mekiyah, Madison Moon, Philmon Lee, Rae, Ruby Rae, Sheldon Riley, and Tianna Roberts.

Standout performances from Monday’s show included Jesse Findling’s performance of “Love in the Dark” by Adele, which earned a standing ovation from the judges and prompted Luke Bryan to say he’s “so jealous” of Jesse. The judges also loved Rae’s cover of “Stone Cold” by Demi Lovato, with Lionel Richie calling it “just exceptional.”

Meanwhile, Brooks’ rendition of “Drowing” by Sam Barber had Bryan saying that his voice “will become so recognizable in years to come.” Daniel Stallworth’s cover of “Stand By Me” also impressed, with Bryan saying he took the song “to the rafters.”

Singers Were Paired Up for Sing-Offs

The final two spots in the American Idol Season 24 Top 30 were determined by sing-offs. The judges paired up four of singers who made it into the Golden Room, asking them to perform one more song each to decide who should move on.

First Jayson Garner and Michael Garner were paired up. The judges said that it was just a coincidence that the two singers had the same last name. Jayson chose to sing “That’s All Right” by Elvis Presley, while Michael performed “Drift Away” by Dobie Gray. The judges chose to send Michael Garner through to the Top 30.

Next up, Mary Jo Young and Chloe Lauren went up against each other in a sing-off. Chloe sang “You Stole the Show” by Sienna Spiro, while Mary Jo performed an a cappella version of “Skinny Love” by Bon Iver. The judges chose to keep Chloe Lauren in the competition.

At the end of the episode, the judges surprised the Top 30 contestants with the news that they’ll be headed to Hawaii for the next round of the competition, at Disney’s Aulani Resort. The show is introducing a new Ohana Round, which will narrow the competition down even further with the help of some special guests.
