Mary of ‘AGT’s Duo Transcend Is Competing for Miss Nevada USA

Mary Wolfe-Nielsen of the America’s Got Talent aerial act Duo Transcend shared some exciting news on Instagram early this week. Wolfe-Nielsen will be competing for the title of Miss Nevada USA. If she wins, she could end up in the Miss USA pageant later this year.
Mary of Duo Transcend Competing for Miss Nevada USA
On Wednesday, Wolfe-Nielsen took to Instagram to share that she’ll be competing for Miss Nevada USA on Sunday, June 30. She emphasized that Miss USA is “in the process of making big changes” which she called “really great for women.”
“There used to be rules that would have made me ineligible to compete. You could not be married, over the age of 28, or have a child. I am all of those things,” Wolfe-Nielsen explained. “Part of the reason I want to compete is I want to help represent a new era of the @missusa organization.”
She went on to write that by competing, she hopes to show that “just because you are over a certain age and a mother doesn’t mean you give up on pursuing your dreams.” Wolfe-Nielsen added that her son Jaxx is “super excited to watch me compete.”
In her Instagram bio, she shared a link to her pageant profile, where fans can vote for her in the People’s Choice Award. She promised to “keep everyone posted on how it’s all going.”

The Duo Competed on Season 13
Wolfe-Nielsen performs as part of the trapeze act Duo Transcend with her husband Tyce Nielsen. Together, the couple competed in Season 13 of America’s Got Talent, making it all the way to the Finals. However, they didn’t end up winning the million-dollar prize.
In 2020, the duo returned to the Got Talent stage to compete in the second season of AGT: The Champions. This time, the pair finished the competition in second place, behind winning dance group V. Unbeatable.
The couple also performed in the AGT live show in Las Vegas, which has since ended its run at the Luxor Hotel & Casino. According to their Instagram bio, they’re also keynote speakers.
