As she says goodbye to summer, Mariah Carey is welcoming two furry members into the family. The pop megastar has recently revealed that she adopted two orange kittens — Nacho and Rocky Jr.
Mariah Carey Adds Two Orange Kittens to Their Household
The “Touch My Body” singer shared the announcement on Instagram last weekend. In the post, Carey shared a photo of her posing with her new pets alongside her twins Moroccan and Monroe.
“Summer prolonged… even though I try, I can’t let go!” she wrote. “Introducing #DemKittens, the new adopted family members: Nacho & Rocky Jr.”
As seen in the snap, the pop star and her kids are obviously happy with the orange-striped kittens. Carey was wearing a white shirt paired with cheetah-printed pants and white slippers.
In addition to the adorable photo, the “It’s A Wrap” singer also shared other wholesome moments with her children during the summer. In one photo, Carey was seen making mini homemade pizzas with her daughter. Meanwhile, another pic showed the mother-daughter duo swimming together.
Fans are Happy to Know She Adopted Pets
Upon seeing the post, fans immediately expressed how cute Nacho and Rocky Jr. are. A few animal welfare organizations also thanked Carey for adopting these pets.
“Welcome to the family Nacho and Rocky Jr.,” they wrote. “By choosing adoption, you’re not only changing their lives but also advocating for the countless shelter animals in need. Your influence reaches far beyond the stage, and it’s heartwarming to see you use it to promote the importance of adopting rescue animals!”
Meanwhile, one fan expressed their delight for seeing Carey bonding with her twins. The fans particularly gushed about Moroccan and Monroe becoming teenagers in the near future.

“I love seeing you happy and living your best life with your children! Dem kids gonna be dem teens soon!” another person commented.
Carey shares Moroccan and Monroe with her ex-husband Nick Cannon. After divorce, the two have agreed upon an amicable co-parenting dynamic to raise their twins.
