Kelsea Ballerini Reveals Deluxe Edition of ‘Rolling Up the Welcome Mat’ EP

Kelsea Ballerini is transforming her past EP Rolling Up the Welcome Mat into its deluxe form. With the intention of giving it a brand-new meaning, the country star will be re releasing the six-song musical collection.
Kelsea Ballerini Announces Newest Version of ‘Rolling Up the Welcome Mat’
In the beginning, Ballerini put out the EP as a straightforward and personal musical product of her post-divorce battle. The collection included tracks triggered by her devastating separation and painful healing process. Now though, it seems that the country singer is reclaiming her power over the EP.
For those who may not know, Ballerini was married to fellow country singer Morgan Evans. The two broke up in 2022 after nearly five years of being together.
On Wednesday, Ballerini announced that she’ll be dropping a deluxe version of the collection, titled Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good). During her Heartfirst Tour, the singer centered her performances around Subject to Change album. Later on, she began adding the songs from Rolling Up the Welcome Mat into the set list, then tweaking some of its lyrics.
For the incoming deluxe edition, Ballerini will manifest and cement those lyrical changes. Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (For Good) will also include one more track titled “How Do I Do This.” Revealing that there’s “more to the story,” the deluxe form will be out on August 11.
She Asks Fans for a Favor Amid EP’s Looming Release
With the expansion of the EP, Ballerini reminded fans of the real reason why she’s re-introducing the collection. The country singer told her fans that the deluxe version is “for you and you only.”
“With this, comes a favor. from the deepest and purest part of my heart, i ask that you help this be ours and let the music simply be the music, not dig back into the experience that it was written about nearly a year ago,” she wrote.
Ballerini went on and stated that she’s “proud and protective” of the EP. Furthermore, she said that as a woman and human, she’s also been proud of the life she’s built at present.
“My real hope is for us to continue growing, healing, and evolving together with acceptance and kindness (even when we unleash our inner fire breathing dragon singing the new versions of these songs). am i right?” she wrote.
Currently, Ballerini is in a relationship with Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes.
