In case her being on The Voice isn’t enough, Kelly Clarkson is about to become a regular on the small screen! NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution announced that it has sold The Kelly Clarkson Show to the NBC-owned station group for a debut this fall. Her one-hour daytime syndicated talk show will replace Steve Harvey’s.

Kelly appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to announce her new show and talk about the upcoming season of The Voice. Watch her interview here:

So here’s what we know so far!

The Kelly Clarkson Show is getting a historically success time slot on NBC stations. It will air as the lead-in to Ellen in all but one market. The Kelly Clarkson Show will replace Steve Harvey’s talk show, which aired in that time period for seven years. NBC is really pushing Kelly and I think she’ll be fantastic at it! (Even though she doesn’t think she’ll be able to “shut up” and let her guests talk.)

Since the announcement last night, Kelly has been all over the place talking about her new show. She also appeared on Access Live this morning to discuss it:

As far as the content of the talk show, Kelly said:

“I get to kinda incorporate all my favorite things. I do this charity event sometimes in Nashville called ‘Miracle on Broadway’ and it really highlights these amazing organizations. Then I love music and obviously I love talking. So it was kind of like, ‘Wait, I actually like the marriage of all that.'”

Unsurprisingly, Kelly said music will be a big part of her show and she will be singing every day. She plans to open each show with a fan request, allowing someone in the audience pick a song for her to cover. Also, her actual band will be playing on the show! But what else would you expect from the first American Idol winner? She will be a pleasure to watch (and listen to) every day. She sure has come a long way since winning Idol in 2002, but we’re glad we finally get to see more of her personality in these shows!

As for The Kelly Clarkson Show, I think it’s safe to say we’re excited for it! Airing right before Ellen, it will be an epic few hours of daytime television! Plus, Kelly teased there could be a Simon appearance coming up! To see it all, tune in to her show, debuting this fall on NBC.
