Reading Time: 3 minutes
Julianne Hough’s husband Brooks Laich recently opened up about the couple’s baby plans during quarantine. The couple is riding out the pandemic in different states, leading some to wonder if their marriage is in trouble.
Julianne is at home in Los Angeles, while Brooks is in Idaho enjoying nature. The former hockey player has a podcast called How Men Think, where he recently opened up about his sex drive and thoughts on becoming a parent.

Brooks was asked if he and Julianne were thinking about having a baby during the pandemic because there’s “nothing else” to do. He didn’t think that was a good idea.
“That reason is so bad because who knows, [restrictions] could lift in a month, it could lift in two weeks,” Brooks said. “Just because you have nothing else to do right now, that’s not a reason to bring a life into the world. You can still have sex without having to create a baby.”

Of course, Brooks and Julianne aren’t having sex right now — whether or not they’re trying to get pregnant. Brooks said he doesn’t even have a “sexual charge” because he’s so “wiped out” from the yard work he’s doing in Idaho.
“During this quarantine time, I’m not in the proximity to my wife,” he explained. “I’m not in the same room with her, and with what I’m doing here, that my sex drive wouldn’t be at its peak.”
Julianne Has Been Open About Her IVF Experience
While the couple may not be trying to have a baby during the pandemic, they’ve been open about wanting kids in the past. Julianne’s endometriosis can cause fertility issues, so she chose to undergo IVF treatment.

“It’s actually a freedom where not only do I feel free, but then people can see themselves in that freedom and have the courage also to talk about it,” Julianne said about her decision to be open about the process.
Why Julianne Is Enjoying Quarantine Away From Her Husband
Being away from Brooks doesn’t seem to be getting Julianne down. She told Oprah Magazine that it’s been “a magical time.”
“I don’t feel lonely, but I definitely feel alone. I think there’s a big difference,” Julianne said. “I feel alone…I miss people a lot, I wanna hug them and talk to them, but I’m really enjoying this time where I can really connect to what’s really important in my life and look forward to when we get out of this: Who do I want to step into? Who do I want to arrive in this new world as?”
WHO IS THE MAN JULIANNE HOUGH IS QUARANTINED WITH INSTEAD OF HUSBAND BROOKS LAICH — BEN BARNES?
Of course, Julianne hasn’t been completely alone. She was recently photographed taking a walk with actor Ben Barnes. Although sources say they’re just friends, it doesn’t do much to quell divorce rumors.
However, Julianne also commented on Brooks’ recent Instagram photo with a heart-eye emoji complimenting his beard. So we’re not really sure what’s going on with these two at the moment.
