So You Think You Can Dance judge JoJo Siwa isn’t shy with sharing her money on those that she loves. The 21 year old, recently made extravagant plans to celebrate her girlfriend, former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Dakayla Wilson’s 19th birthday.

Although Siwa has only been publicly linked with Wilson since August 2024, the couple is definitely serious. On October 9, Siwa appeared at the Gala of Stars Awards in Beverly Hills. While at the event, Siwa talked about her upcoming plans with Wilson.
“We’re about to take her on the best birthday extravaganza, we’re going to Hawaii,” Siwa said.
The professional dancer explained that the focus wasn’t on the cost, rather the quality of the time spent together. Clearly, she wants to make this birthday memorable.
“But look, it’s not about the money. It’s about the person, it’s about the time and the thing you do and the experience,” she said later.
How did Siwa and Wilson Meet?
For those who may not know, Wilson turned 19 on October 11. The pair made their relationship public via Instagram in August. Ahead of dating, they met on the set of So You Think You Can Dance. Wilson was a contestant, while Siwa was a judge.
When reflecting on meeting, Siwa described the first time she met Wilson as: “She was on the dance floor. I was not. I was chilling in a judge’s chair. She was crushing it, she placed second in the show.”
In August 2024, the pair made an official announcement. While in the dance studio, Wilson is seen with a smile on her face as she announces Siwa as her girlfriend.
Since the announcement, Siwa has gotten candid about Wilson. When talking to E! News, Siwa said “We are very madly in love” and “She is a very, very special girl. I’m very lucky to have her in my life.”
On the same red carpet, Wilson, who was Siwa’s plus one, admitted that Siwa is very talented at what she does. Wilson notes Siwa’s passion is where her admiration lies.
