Jennifer Lopez Teases New Album, Movie
This Is Me… Now is Lopez’s ninth studio album. It’s due to be released on February 16, 2024. On the same day, fans will be able to watch This Is Me… Now: The Film on Amazon Prime. The movie was directed by Dave Meyers.
According to a press release, the film is “a narrative driven, intimate, reflective, sexy, funny, fantastical and highly entertaining musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinized love life.” The project will feature “impressive choreography, star studded cameos, costumes, sets and blockbuster-worthy visuals.”
Lopez has shared a teaser for the film. It starts with a clip of the singer throwing love letters into the fire, as her narration explains, “When I was a little girl, when someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always ‘in love.'”
The teaser also gives fans a glimpse of some of the costumes and dance routines they can expect to see in the film. Lopez’s husband Ben Affleck is listed as a co-writer on the project. Her relationship with Affleck was the inspiration for This Is Me… Then. The couple was previously engaged but broke it off in 2004.
