Hunter Metts’s Voice Sounds Angelic in Teaser for New Single
Reading Time: 2 minutes
Hunter Metts has been thriving since American Idol concluded in May. Even though he did not win the competition, he still gained a mass following after his time on the show. He’s been performing, recording, and living his best life since his American Idol elimination.
On September 28, Hunter shared an acoustic video of a song that he’s currently writing. This video actually confirmed that this singer has no need for autotune, his voice is naturally angelic. In his recent Instagram video, the love song is dreamy; so dreamy that It makes everyone want more. Fans are absolutely eating this video up and are dying to know when this song will be finished. But, I’d say it’s actually going to be his upcoming release that he teased.
This video isn’t the only thing Hunter teased fans about on Instagram in the recent months. On July 29 he shared that he has recorded a single. Although there has not been any announcements in relation to a release date, I’d guess that his next single will drop before his upcoming tour.
In late October, Hunter will be hitting the road with another American Idol alum, Francisco Martin. Francisco was in the Top 5 of his season in 2020. He is known for his nervous audition where his singing completely outshined his nervous nature. Both of these singers were fan-favorites during their seasons of Idol, so it doesn’t surprise me that they’re embarking on an eight stop tour after recent sold out performances.
Has Hunter Released any Other music?
Immediately after his American Idol elimination, Hunter released his third single, “20,000 Kisses.” He rode the “Idol wave” and quickly hit the charts with this single. This song was released on May 13, and was No. 1 on the iTunes singer songwriter charts almost immediately after. At the same time, his other singles “Loaded Gun” and “River” were both breaking into the Top 10 on the chart.
Considering his recent performances, I’d say that the “Idol wave” is forever in his favor. He ended up with a lot of die hard fans, so I could see his single doing just as well as “20,000 Kisses.” I think it says a lot that it’s been five months since his season concluded and he’s currently selling out shows.
I knew from American Idol that he had a huge career ahead of him, but the sold out shows and influx of positive comments on his recent video definitely confirmed it.
