Gwen Stefani Is Unrecognizable After Dramatic Hair Transformation

Gwen Stefani has been having an amazing past few months from getting engaged, releasing new music and winning The Voice. The 51-year-old recently landed the cover of the Spring 2021 issue of Wonderland. She sported a dramatic new look on set that will make you do a double-take.
Gwen Stefani Debuts Shocking New Look On Instagram
In the photo posted on her Instagram account, Gwen looks like a completely different person sporting a black bob haircut. She is wearing a purple tulle gown with a long train while her stylist is adjusting the back of the dress. We are so used to seeing Gwen’s famous platinum blonde locks but this time she is branching out with a new look.
Still, Gwen manages to rock this look complete with bangle bracelets and dark eyeshadow. Fans flooded the comments section with nothing but love. Carter Rubin who was Gwen’s first-ever winning artist on The Voice wrote “Gorgeous” with a heart emoji.

This bold new look is all a part of a photoshoot for Wonderland photographed by Ellen von Unwerth. In other photos from the shoot, Gwen went back to her blonde hair which proves the black wig was not a permanent makeover. There have been a few memorable times in the past where Gwen changed up her look for a short period of time.
We have seen Gwen rock a dip-dyed hairstyle over the past couple of years where half of her hair was one color and the other half was another color. She even sported this look on Season 19 of The Voice.
Let’s not forget that at the 1998 MTV Video Music Awards, Gwen rocked blue hair with buns and face jewels. She recreated this out-of-the-box look in her music video for her latest song “Let Me Reintroduce Myself.”
What Is Gwen’s Natural Hair Color?
In the summer of 2020, Gwen posted a throwback photo with her brother Eric to celebrate his 53rd birthday. In the picture, Gwen has short brown hair, a major change from the platinum blonde we are so used to seeing.
“We color her hair every Monday before we film The Voice” Gwen’s hairstylist Danilo Dixon said in 2017. “Gwen’s an Italian girl with wavy brown hair.”
We are almost certain that Gwen will sport her signature platinum blonde hair during her wedding to country superstar Blake Shelton. The pair met on the set of The Voice in 2015.
