Go-Big Show Season 2 returned on Thursday night for the second week of Semifinals. One of the most memorable performances of the night came from Lina Liu, who is known as the “Umbrella Queen” in her home country of China.
Lina Liu Shows Off Stunning Umbrella Act on ‘Go-Big Show’
In her first performance on Go-Big Show, Lina performed a gorgeous routine in which she balanced three umbrellas on her feet and hands, making it look totally effortless. This week, Lina performed moves she said she’s never done before, as she shared that she wanted to give her son a better life by winning the $100,000 prize.
She started by balancing one more umbrella than she did the last time, with four. Lina ended up stacking the umbrellas on top of each other while balancing them on her feet. Then she took the performance up a notch by hanging upside down from the ceiling while spinning squares of fabric on her feet and hands.
It may not be as dangerous or over-the-top as many of the acts on this show, but Lina’s act is unique and beautiful to watch. After her first performance, judge Cody Rhodes called her a “dark horse” in the competition.

Jennifer Nettles Compares Lina to a Butterfly
The judges were mesmerized by Lina’s performance. Jennifer Nettles said it was “almost like watching a butterfly,” telling Lina that she “really did go bigger” with this performance. Rosario Dawson said there’s “nothing else like it.”
When it came time to score the acts, Lina received a 95 from the judges, which was higher than her first score of 88. She beat both acts she was up against in her matchup, and then she faced off against the first round’s winner James Carter. The judges voted to send James to the Finals, so Lina was unfortunately eliminated.
