‘DWTS Tour’ Breaks More Barriers With Same Sex Couple Tour Performance

Dancing With the Stars continues to break barriers after having Jojo Siwa and Jenna Johnson as the first same sex couple in the history of the show. Alan Bersten and Gleb Savchenko will be following in their footsteps during the show’s tour this winter season. The dancers shared in an interview that they will be recreating one of JoJo and Jenna’s performances for the audience.
This winter, DWTS professionals are hitting the road for the DWTS Dare to be Different Tour. The cast will embark on a three month tour that will take place in 33 states including New York, California, Florida, and more. Their special guests for this tour includes season 29 winner Kaitlyn Bristowe, season 30 winner Iman Shumpert, Jimmie Allen, and Amanda Kloots.
During this tour, professional dancers will pair up with each other for performances. In a recent interview, Savchenko talked about how he’ll be primarily be dancing with Emma Slater for this series. He also mentioned that he will also have a second partner for a dance. Savchenko and Bersten will pair up for a repeat of one of Jojo and Jenna’s most iconic dances on the ballroom floor.
The two professionals acknowledged how Jojo broke barriers in the competition before showing off a few of their moves. After their dance Savchenko joked that Bersten is actually his favorite dance partner on the tour series.
How Can I Attend The Dancing With the Stars Dare to Be Different Tour?
This tour begins on friday January 7 in Richmond, Virginia and concludes on sunday March 27 in Modesto, California. Ticket prices are ranged differently between venues, but the base ticket price is mostly at $49.50. DWTS fans are also able to purchase VIP tickets that include a pre-show Q&A as well as a professional photo opportunity with the dancers. There is no mention of if guest stars will be apart of the photo opportunity or not. Make sure to check your performance date, the guest stars change throughout the tour.
The group of dancers has been tirelessly preparing for this tour for months. Since this tour was announced, DWTS has been sharing rehearsal videos on their official tour Instagram page. With only a few days left until their first performance, this page has been sharing snippets of their tech rehearsals.
