JoJo Siwa isn’t ready to let Dancing with the Stars go just yet. The Season 30 runner-up shared a video of herself in the studio recreating one of her dances with partner Jenna Johnson as a solo. Siwa is currently preparing for her upcoming tour.
JoJo Siwa Recreates ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Contemporary Routine
“My favorite thing to do at the studio is recreate my DWTS dances as a solo!!” Siwa wrote on Instagram, alongside a split-screen video in which she recreates part of her and Johnson’s Contemporary routine to “Before You Go” by Lewis Capaldi.
Interestingly, Siwa showed off her partner’s side of the dance. The brief performance featured a cartwheel and a spin. She and Johnson earned a perfect score for their Contemporary routine, which they performed in Week 9.
Siwa wrote that “my knees are not happy with me tonight after doing this over and over till I got it just right.” She added, “As fun as this is to do as a solo…. I really miss Dancing with @jennajohnson every week!!”
Johnson herself commented on Siwa’s post, writing, “And she finally got her turn section in… and in socks.”
Siwa Is Heading Out on Tour Soon
Siwa already recreated her Contemporary routine with Ezra Sosa, a backup dancer on Dancing with the Stars who is joining the star on her upcoming D.R.E.A.M tour. Siwa has been sharing footage from rehearsals before the tour kicks off January 13.
Siwa and Sosa will be performing a Jive routine during the tour that was choreographed by Jenna Johnson herself. The star explained that she “wanted to add a little ballroom” to the tour to honor her time on DWTS.
The 18-year-old had to cancel her tour in 2020 due to the pandemic, but now she’s heading back out to perform shows in the United States and Canada. Dates run through March 12 of next year. You can visit Siwa’s tour website for tickets.
