The Couple Met on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’
In 2017, Iwasaki and Nyemchek both competed on So You Think You Can Dance Season 14. DWTS pro Val Chmerkovskiy choreographed a Salsa routine for the pair which included a kiss. Iwasaki said that routine “got me and Kiki together.”
Nyemchek finished the season in fourth place, while Iwasaki was the runner-up. The couple announced that they were dating in 2018, with Iwasaki writing to Nyemchek in an Instagram post, “Living life with you is pure bliss & I thank you for YOU every single day.”
It’s been a big year for Iwasaki, as this was her first season competing as a pro on Dancing with the Stars. She and Jersey Shore star Vinny Guadagnino made it to seventh place, as they were eliminated in Week 8.
