‘DWTS’ Fans Worry About Ariana Madix’s Motown Night Injury — How Will She Perform on Disney100 Night?
Reading Time: 3 minutes
On Tuesday night, Dancing With The Stars fans were treated to a sensational Motown Night performance by Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix. Madix, along with her partner, Pasha Pashkov, dedicated their Quickstep performance to Madix’s late father, who passed away a decade ago. The heartfelt and emotional performance was quickly overshadowed by Madix’s mysterious foot injury. The injury has left fans concerned for her longevity on the show.
Ariana Madix Reveals “Scary” Foot Injury
Ariana faced a unique challenge during Motown Night. She danced with grace and elegance, not in the usual way though. Instead of dancing in heels, she was seen in bedazzled Keds. In addition, she had a bandage on her ankle, which left many fans worried about the nature of her injury.
Within the episode, Julianne Hough pointed out that a traditional Quickstep is typically performed in heels, but due to an injury Madix was in sneakers. At the time, Madix didn’t reveal much about the injury. Instead she stated that it was something her and Pashkov were working through.
During a post-performance interview, a reporter asked her about her feet, to which she responded, “Oh, they hurt! I’m not going to lie,” without divulging further details about her injury.
When questioned about the condition of her leg, Ariana’s response added to the uncertainty: “TBD.” This cryptic response left fans concerned about her well-being. Despite this, she showed her determination to push through the pain and deliver a remarkable performance.
Ariana and her partner, Pashkov, earned a well-deserved 34 points. They tied with Jason Mraz for the top spot on the leaderboard recieving the first nines of Season 32.
Their dance was set to the iconic “You Can’t Hurry Love” by The Supremes, and to add to the pressure, members of The Supremes were in the audience. Ariana was understandably thrilled, though she was disappointed that she wasn’t able to meet the artists in person.
This week, Madix is set to perform a Contemporary routine to “Into the Unknown” from Frozen II. Fans hope that Madix will be able to pull through and deliver yet another amazing dance this week.
She Said Dancing on DWTS Has Brought Out Her Creativity
Beyond the impressive dance routines and her competitive spirit, Ariana is now opening up about how participating in the show has helped her rediscover a hidden part of herself.
“I think that I have always been someone who expresses myself creatively,” she said. “Over the years, sometimes I feel like maybe I lost that part of myself a little bit. Getting to do this show, I feel like every week I’m getting to bring back that part of me that was always there but somehow got hidden.”
It seems that Ariana’s creative expression had taken a back seat, perhaps overshadowed by her previous partner, Tom Sandoval, who launched his podcast, Everybody Loves Tom, shortly after Ariana’s DWTS debut. Nonetheless, she is thriving on the show, and she has been receiving ample support from her co-stars.
