American Idol Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken is ready to make a comeback as he prepares to perform his first solo concert in a decade. Tickets are now on sale for Aiken’s upcoming holiday show in The Villages, Florida.
Clay Aiken to Perform New Solo Holiday Concert
Aiken has performed several Christmas tours throughout his career, in addition to releasing two Christmas albums. The most recent, Christmas Bells Are Ringing, was released last year. Aiken has also toured with American Idol Season 2 runner-up Ruben Studdard, including a 20th anniversary tour in 2023.
However, according to EntertainmentNow, Aiken has not performed a solo concert in a decade. That’s about to change, as the singer recently announced an upcoming holiday performance on December 21 in The Villages, Florida.
After touring with Studdard, Aiken told EntertainmentNow, “That’s kind of when I realized, ‘Wait a second, I do kind of miss this. I like this, and I want to do it again.’”
Aiken added that through performing solo shows again, he wants to send “a thank you to people who have continued to follow me and a reminder to those who haven’t that I’m not dead yet!”
