Chrissy Teigen Says She’s More Confident as a Mom of Three

Chrissy Teigen recently opened up about how she’s handling life as a mother of three. In January, the model and cookbook author welcomed daughter Esti Maxine with her husband John Legend. Teigen said she feels more confident this time around.
Chrissy Teigen Talks Confidence as Mom of Three
“It’s easy confidence-wise, and honestly, a lot of the time, confidence is everything with it,” Teigen told People of her experience parenting three kids. “You’re just not so on edge and worried and you’re also not worried about what other people have to say as much.”
Teigen also shared that she’s not as quick to take other people’s parenting advice, adding that she doesn’t “accept being shamed about anything.” She explained, “I mean, we’ve seen everything happen. We’ve dealt with the stitches. We’ve had a toe almost come off. We’ve had broken bones. We’ve seen it all. It’s fine.”
In addition to their youngest daughter Esti, Teigen and Legend also share 6-year-old daughter Luna and 4-year-old son Miles. Teigen has been open about her experience with pregnancy loss in 2020, as well as her decision to undergo IVF.

Baby Esti’s Name Has a Sweet Meaning
Earlier this year, John Legend revealed the meaning behind his daughter Esti Maxine’s name. Although the baby’s first name was apparently Teigen’s idea, it ended up paying tribute to one of Legend’s relatives.
“It wasn’t intentionally after someone, but once Chrissy told me that idea, I was like, ‘Oh, my great-grandmother’s name was Esther,'” Legend told E! News. “We wanted to already name her middle name Maxine after my grandmother, whose middle name was Maxine. So, it’s a lot of my family in the name.”
Legend and Teigen will be celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary in September of this year. Legend released his eight studio album last year, and he’s currently taking a break from his coaching gig on The Voice. However, the singer has said he intends to return to the spinning red chair in a future season.
