Carrie Underwood to Perform with Jason Aldean at the AMAs

American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is among the performers for the upcoming American Music Awards, hosted by Cardi B. The singer will team up with fellow country star Jason Aldean for a performance of their song “If I Didn’t Love You.”
Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean to Perform at the AMAs
Underwood and Aldean will perform as part of the AMAs’ new “My Hometown” segments. According to a press release, the stars will perform their song “while showcasing their hometown influence and Southern roots.”
Aldean is no stranger to talent shows himself. He appeared on the current season of The Voice as a Battle Advisor for Kelly Clarkson’s team. He and Underwood released their duet “If I Didn’t Love You” over the summer, and they recently performed it at the CMA Awards.
Both stars are also nominated at this year’s AMAs. Underwood is up for Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Inspirational Artist. Aldean, meanwhile, is nominated for Favorite Male Country Artist.

New Kids on the Block to Go Against New Edition
Another country singer, Kane Brown, will also appear at this year’s AMAs, performing his song “One Mississippi” at Tennessee State University. Bad Bunny, BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, and Olivia Rodrigo will also perform at this year’s show.
This year’s AMAs will also feature a “Battle of Boston,” featuring the boy bands New Kids on the Block and New Edition. Both groups are from Boston, and they’ll be performing together on stage for the first time ever. New Edition last performed at the awards in 1997, while NKOTB last appeared in 2010.
The 2021 American Music Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The show will air this Sunday, November 21, at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC. It will also be available to stream the next day on Hulu. Voting is open for fans through November 16, so remember to pick your favorites.
