Underwood and Aldean will perform as part of the AMAs’ new “My Hometown” segments. According to a press release, the stars will perform their song “while showcasing their hometown influence and Southern roots.”

Aldean is no stranger to talent shows himself. He appeared on the current season of The Voice as a Battle Advisor for Kelly Clarkson’s team. He and Underwood released their duet “If I Didn’t Love You” over the summer, and they recently performed it at the CMA Awards.

Both stars are also nominated at this year’s AMAs. Underwood is up for Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Inspirational Artist. Aldean, meanwhile, is nominated for Favorite Male Country Artist.

This year’s AMAs will also feature a “Battle of Boston,” featuring the boy bands New Kids on the Block and New Edition. Both groups are from Boston, and they’ll be performing together on stage for the first time ever. New Edition last performed at the awards in 1997, while NKOTB last appeared in 2010.
