Reading Time: 2 minutes
The third round of AGT quarterfinals for Season 14 came to a close with Wednesday night’s results. Seven of Tuesday’s 12 acts moved on to the semifinals, which will officially start next week.
Read on to find out which acts made it through, which acts were eliminated, and which were saved by the Dunkin’ Save and judges’ choice.
‘AGT’ Results: The Top 5
These acts were sent straight through to the semifinals, having received the most votes from America’s viewers.
Detroit Youth Choir
Emanne Beasha
Eric Chien
Dom Chambers
Benicio Bryant
Clearly, magicians Eric Chien and Dom Chambers are different enough for America to be a fan of both of them. Emanne Beasha’s success if hardly a surprise, and now Simon won’t have to eat the judges’ table (like he said he would if she didn’t get through).
‘AGT’ Results: The Bottom 4
These acts received the least amount of votes from AGT viewers, immediately eliminating them from the competition without the chance at a live save or the judges’ choice.
Gonzo
Berywam
Matthew Richardson
MacKenzie
Gonzo’s elimination is unsurprising, considering his presence in the quarterfinals was questionable to begin with. Apparently, Matthew Richardson’s second chance as a wildcard wasn’t enough to convince the voters.
‘AGT’ Results: The Dunkin’ Save
These acts came in 6th, 7th, and 8th place. Viewers were given a half-hour vote to choose which of the three acts they wanted to save.
Jackie Fabulous
Lukas & Falco
Marcin Patrzalek
When the votes were in, America chose to save Jackie Fabulous. (Howie Mandel said her presence in the Dunkin’ Save was a surprise to him.) That put Lukas & Falco and Marcin Patrzalek up for the judges’ choice. Howie, Gabrielle, and Simon all voted for Marcin Patrzalek, making Julianne’s vote unnecessary.
A Performance From Celestia
This Las Vegas show features performers from past seasons of AGT, including Sergey and Sasha and Deadly Games. Their death-defying performance on tonight’s show featured acrobatics, balancing, and knife-throwing.
What do you think of tonight’s results? Did your favorites make it to the semifinals? Who did you vote for in the Dunkin’ Save? Let us know in the comments.
