‘America’s Got Talent’ Faces Production Mishaps During Live Finale
Reading Time: 2 minutes
If you were watching America’s Got Talent tonight and were confused when the screen went black, you’re not alone. It looks like the production team behind the show was having a few little technical problems. Live shows always run the risk of some things going wrong.
Terry Crews and the ‘AGT’ Team Face Technical Difficulties in Live Finale Broadcast
Aidan Bryant, World Taekwondo Demonstration Team, Jordan Chiles, and MyKayla Skinner performed an incredible routine at tonight’s AGT finale. Terry Crews was about to send the show off to commercial break but it seemed a little premature. Instead, it looks like production told him to introduce a segment with Lea Kyle and Heidi Klum. It was just a very awkward segway into this clip.
After Brooke Simpson and Bishop Riggs’ performance, Crews started talking about some kind of game. All of a sudden, the show cut to a commercial for a few seconds. The screen went back to Crews talking and cut to commercial again. The commercial had absolutely nothing to do with what Crews was talking about.
It was probably just a production slip-up. AGT was about to return from the commercial and the screen went black for at least 15 seconds. I thought it might have just been our cable service or something. But, I went on Twitter and other viewers experienced the same exact thing. Finally, AGT returned with the next performance. Gina Brillon and George Lopez took the stage.
“Someone at @nbc is getting a pay-cut,” one Twitter user wrote. “Pre-mature commercial send, then cuts commercial early, @terrycrews then sends us to the new game show “frogger” commercial, and we don’t see said commercial….. @AGT.”
Hopefully, the rest of the AGT finale broadcast will go off without a hitch. All of the performances have been great so far but we really want to see some results!
