Why Isn’t ‘The Masked Singer’ on This Week?

Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Masked Singer Season 10 won’t be airing a new episode this Wednesday, as it has been preempted by Game 5 of the World Series. Fans will have to wait until next week to see a new group of masked celebrities take the stage.
Why Isn’t The Masked Singer on Tonight?
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Texas Rangers will be playing in Game 5 of the World Series on FOX this Wednesday, meaning there will be no new episode of The Masked Singer.
However, since the World Series will be over by November 4, next week’s episode shouldn’t be affected. Fans can see a whole new group of performers take the stage next Wednesday, November 8, at 8/7c on FOX.
This isn’t the first time that baseball has preempted The Masked Singer. Last October, a rain delay pushed a game between the Braves and Phillies later in the day. This caused the game to run into the show’s usual timeslot. Eventually, the show’s Twitter account announced that the new episode wouldn’t be on that night.

What to Expect from Next Week’s Show
Next Wednesday, The Masked Singer will air “One Hit Wonders Night,” as four new contestants take the stage. This is the third and final group of Season 10, featuring Donut, Hibiscus, Anteater, and Candelabra.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the rest of the season should air as normal after this week’s break. Each of the three groups will have their own Finals to determine who should go on to compete in the grand finale.
So far this season, we’ve seen Anthony Anderson, Tom Sandoval, Michael Rapaport, Billie Jean King, and Tyler Posey get unmasked. There are still plenty more celebrities to be revealed as the season goes on.
