Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton won’t be sharing a kiss at midnight this New Year’s Eve, because they won’t be spending the holiday together. Instead, both singers will be performing separately in different cities.
Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton to Spend New Year’s Eve Apart
On New Year’s Eve, Shelton will be performing on New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, airing on CBS. Stefani won’t be able to attend the show, because she’ll be performing in Las Vegas. She told Access Hollywood about their separate plans.
“Well, it’s funny, because I was going to be at his show, and then Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas,” Stefani shared, adding that last year’s experience performing at the Venetian made her not want to do it again.
However, she ended up accepting this year’s gig, explaining of her and Shelton, “If you’re gonna be working, then I’m gonna be working. So I’m just gonna fly in and out. It’s gonna be awesome. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Stefani Shares Her New Year’s Resolutions
Access Hollywood asked Stefani to share some of her New Year’s resolutions for 2024. When it comes to music, Stefani said her resolution is “to put out a record, finally.” The singer’s last non-Christmas studio album was 2016’s This Is What the Truth Feels Like.
She added that she wants to be “more consistent” and “balanced.” Stefani also resolves to “keep loving” in the new year. As for her husband, Shelton recently shared that his New Year’s resolution is “to either cut back or stop drinking altogether.”
Stefani just finished up her first season coaching on The Voice without Shelton, who left the show earlier this year after 23 seasons. Unfortunately, Stefani didn’t have any artists in the finale this season. The winner ended up being Niall Horan’s artist Huntley.
