The Masked Singer UK season 2 kicked off and the first group had our guesses scattering all over. The clue packages were only so helpful. The Alien’s clue package gave us little to work with but guesses leaned towards a model or singer. Check out the clues decoded below.
Clues on The Masked Singer UK Season 2
The Alien’s clue package shows her “landing” into a scrap yard-like environment. Alien makes a comment about viewing Earth from space and how “all the people on it look like tiny models.” There is then a mannequin shown donning a wedding dress. As Alien continues through the yard, we see pieces of crime scene tape flailing in the wind. The package also alluded to a history in the fashion world. As a final clue, she states ” I have never been invaded, but I have been part of an epic battle.”
Who’s Behind the Mask and Clues Decoded?
The mystery of who our interstellar celebrity could be was brief. Alien was eliminated in week one and was revealed to be singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor. Here’s how her clues add up.
The clue package made a couple of references to fashion. More notable is the use of the word “model” when talking about viewing Earth from space. These clues were about Sophie’s beginnings as a model before her singing career took off. The mannequin in a wedding dress was a play on her “Get Over You” music video where she is a bridal shop mannequin. We can read the crime scene tape as a hint to one of her hit songs, “Murder on the Dancefloor.” Lastly, her final clue referring to an “epic battle” is a hint toward her appearance in the final season of Game of Thrones.
