TikTok Stars Take Over Season 16 ‘America’s Got Talent’ Auditions

After American Idol brought in some huge TikTok stars in Season 19, America’s Got Talent Season 16 is doing the same thing. In the age of social media, these talented acts are ready to showcase their skills on the world’s biggest stage.
‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 16 Welcomes the World’s Biggest TikTok Stars
1. Miles Allen
Miles Allen is a viral impressionist that first had the internet buzzing with his impressions of the cast of Breaking Bad in 2013. At the time, Miles was an unemployed actor. The video eventually led to his stage show One Man Breaking Bad: The Unauthorized Parody. The show consisted of Miles’s own comedic take on every episode of Breaking Bad in an hour. His on-stage experience was even complete with costume changes.
Miles started posting videos of his voice impressions on TikTok which led him to gain over 1.4 million followers on the platform. He does impressions of everyone including Winnie The Pooh, Voldemort, Batman, and The Avengers. Voice artists need way more recognition on America’s Got Talent and we can’t wait to see Miles’s Season 16 audition.
2. Chrxstopher
Chrxstopher AKA Christopher Davis has over 1.3 million TikTok followers and some thoroughly entertaining content. This singer and dancer can do it all like his videos reenacting your favorite Disney movies like Camp Rock and High School Musical. He will be releasing his first EP Solstice (Part I) on June 25 after finding social media fame.
When Chrxstopher announced that he auditioned for the show, Fans in the comments section began to ask what he did for his big performance. Everyone is secretly hoping the hilarious performer did a Camp Rock reenactment in front of the judges. Simon Cowell’s fellow X Factor judge Demi Lovato starred in the movie that fans have been able to relive thanks to Christopher’s comical TikTok videos.
3. Buddy the Rat
One of the most highly anticipated auditions for America’s Got Talent this season is social media sensation Buddy the Rat. New Yorkers are accustomed to seeing Buddy on the subway, walking around the park, or cleaning up trash on the city streets. Jonothon Lyons, the person behind Buddy the Rat has gained 1.3 million TikTok followers since he surfaced.
Jonothon is an experienced performance artist who has mastered theater and puppetry. He created the persona over a decade ago and went viral with his 2020 pizza rat recreation video. Throughout the pandemic, Jonothon gave people something to smile about when they would see him walking around on all fours with his signature rat costume on. New Yorkers should always be on the lookout for this colorful character who will be taking over the America’s Got Talent stage very soon.
4. “Slinky Josh” Jacobs
“Slinky Josh” Jacobs is bringing something totally unique to Season 16 of America’s Got Talent. He will blow your mind with his insane slinky skills that he loves showing off to his 345,900 TikTok followers. Josh is a showman and makes every video highly entertaining. He started his career in 2016 after buying a bunch of coil springs online. Not satisfied with the products, he decided to start his own company a year later called HyperSpring.
Josh performed on The Gong Show in 2018. He also made an appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden. This year he got to perform his act on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. All of these epic performances has led up to the chance of a lifetime on the America’s Got Talent stage.
5. Tory Vagasy
Singer Tory Vagasy has over 248,000 TikTok followers. Tori has made quite the career dressing as some of your favorite Disney characters and offering personalized video messages. Growing up, Tory was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. She entered Next On Stage S3 competition this year and pledged to donate her winnings to CampBoggyCreek, a non-profit camp for kids with serious illnesses.
Tory was able to find a love for theater through the adversity she faced from her illness. She wants to show people how she was able to overcome all of the triumphs and defy gravity, literally. The social media star was drawn to Elphaba from the musical Wicked and took on the classic “Defying Gravity” in one awesome video. Tory’s infectious personality and theater experience make her a great candidate for a real-life Disney princess.
