‘The Voice’ Season 18 Winner Todd Tilghman Performs ‘Old Photos at Christmas Time’

The Voice champion Todd Tilghman recently performed his new Christmas single “Old Photos at Christmas Time.” The intimate performance was for CCM Café during his promotional run for his new Christmas EP, which hit streaming services on December 10.
The former Team Blake contestant says that he wrote the new holiday song with two of his good friends.
“When I was a kid I would drag out all of my old photo albums of Christmas past and look through them. When we wrote this song, we wrote about how important it is that those memories are there. Also how important it is that we keep making those memories. There’s a generation coming and maybe they will pull out those photo albums. It may be on instagram,” he said.
‘Old Photos at Christmas Time’
During his performance, Todd said that growing up, one of his favorite Christmas albums was the Alabama Christmas album. He explained “Christmas Memories” on the album also inspired why he wanted to write his latest single.
“Hey I just want to tell y’all how much I appreciate support for the Christmas project. Look it up on all the platforms! Old Photos at Christmastime!” Todd Tweeted to his fans.
His album even got a shout out from his former The Voice coach, Blake Shelton: “@todd_tilghman putting out some great holiday music!! Congrats buddy!”
Nostalgia is what Todd is selling with this single. He recalls his childhood memories living in a small town. You can see him light up every time he remembers the time and place he was in while singing.
This is Todd’s latest recording for CCM Magazine. He also recorded a performance of “O’Holy Night” off of his five-track Christmas EP. You can stream the entire EP now to get you in the holiday spirit.
