‘The Voice’ Recap: Top 13 Deliver Powerhouse Performances

On Monday night, The Voice Season 22 returned for another live show, as the Top 13 performed for their chance to make it into the Top 10. The episodes featured some powerhouse performances from artists on all four teams, as they took on songs that changed their lives.
‘The Voice’ Top 13 Deliver Amazing Performances
One of the best performances of Monday night’s show came from Omar Jose Cardona on Team Legend. The singer performed “In the Name of Love” by Bebe Rexha and Martin Garrix, earning a standing ovation from the coaches.
Camila Cabello praised Cardona for showing so much emotion and humanity through his performance, while John Legend said he “unlocked another level.” He added that everyone watching “felt you as a person.”
Other powerful performances from Monday night included Team Blake’s Bodie, who put his own spin on “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” by the Proclaimers. He also earned a standing ovation and brought tears to Gwen Stefani’s eyes. Shelton said it was “exactly what we all need right now.”
Meanwhile, Team Camila’s Eric Who showed a different side of himself as he ditched his signature pink hair and performed “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley. Legend told him it was “very cool and very vulnerable.”

Justin Aaron Brings Down the House on Team Gwen
The night ended with a standout performance from Team Gwen’s Justin Aaron, who sang “Break Every Chain” by Tasha Cobbs Leonard. He had all four judges on their feet with the powerhouse cover. Stefani got emotional as she said he “took it to another level.”
Meanwhile, host Carson Daly pointed out that Justin was a one-chair turn. Legend said he recently talked to someone who asked why he didn’t turn around for Justin in his Blind Audition. He said he’s started to wonder that himself.
Monday also featured strong performances from Morgan Myles (Team Camila) with “If I Were a Boy” by Beyoncé, Parijita Bastola (Team Legend) with “All I Ask” by Adele, and Kim Cruse (Team Legend) with “Always on My Mind” by Willie Nelson.
